RepoForge SFTP
sftp Xy12AbCd.deploy@sftp.repoforge.ioRepoForge SFTP is a managed SFTP server at sftp.repoforge.io. You create SFTP users in the RepoForge.io dashboard, give each one an SSH key or a password and a home folder, and they connect with any SFTP client. Files are stored in Amazon S3 in the AWS eu-west-2 (London) region.
It's sold as an add-on to a RepoForge.io plan, or on its own as RepoForge SFTP if you don't need the package registry.
The examples in this section
Every page in this section uses the same fictional organisation, Acme, whose account ID is Xy12AbCd, and one SFTP user called deploy. SFTP usernames are your account ID, a dot, and the user's name, so Acme's user logs in as Xy12AbCd.deploy. Your own account ID is shown on the SFTP page of the dashboard. See Users, permissions and keys for more on usernames.

What it is and isn't
RepoForge SFTP is SFTP only: the SSH File Transfer Protocol, over SSH on port 22. It isn't an FTP or FTPS server, and it doesn't support SCP, rsync, shell access or port forwarding. Every common SFTP client works with it, including FileZilla, WinSCP, Cyberduck, the sftp command and libraries such as paramiko.
SFTP users are separate from RepoForge.io dashboard users. They can only connect to sftp.repoforge.io, they can't log into the dashboard and they don't use a seat on your plan. Dashboard users create and manage them.
